After breakfast, we headed straight to California Street to the cable car stop. Taking a ride on the cable car is a must in SF. Due to track cleaning, our cable car was quite delayed, but it didn't matter because we're on vacation, not on the run.
We tested three different routes and did sightseeing by cable car. First, we went to the Ferry Building, which unfortunately was under construction. Then we continued to Chinatown and Union Square. Since Karl was quite persistent today and also had some drizzle, we ended our tour with the bus. Short break at the hotel, then we grabbed the car and drove over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalitos to see the bridge from various angles. Unfortunately, the view wasn't as good as yesterday, but anyone can see it in good weather 😉 From Sausalitos, we went straight to Alamo Square. There, we strolled around a bit and looked for the Painted Ladies. Pretty cool, but unfortunately, most of them have such big trees in front of the houses that you can't see much of them anymore.
Back at the car, we drove back to the hotel. Another short rest before we went to the HardRock Cafe to end the evening with good food and a few cocktails.
