Theoretically, the snowstorm should arrive in Toronto this afternoon. However, when I woke up and looked out the window, the snow was already here. Good thing I had planned 'indoor activities' for today anyway.
After finally finding the supermarket today, which, as Henni explained, was just around the corner, there was no breakfast at the café. After yesterday's shopping spree, I wanted to save my wallet a bit - it still has to last for another 2.5 weeks and the next shopping trip is already planned...
With the subway (today was the first time I didn't explore the city on foot, the distances were simply too far in this weather) we went to Casa Loma. A very unusual sight, located outside the city, a castle stands tall according to European standards. Sir Henry Pellat realized his dream here at the beginning of the 20th century. Theoretically, you have a fantastic view of the city from here, but unfortunately there wasn't much to see today. But the charm of this one-sided palace, built as a residence, was not diminished. It was partly eerie, especially when climbing the tower, as I was there shortly after opening and there were only a few visitors besides me. And to my great joy, the audio guide was also available in German, so I didn't have to struggle with my rusty English.
Immediately afterwards, we went to the Royal Ontario Museum - the largest museum in Canada. In addition to the art and cultural history exhibits, the numerous dinosaur exhibits were certainly the most fascinating.
After a long break to relax, we went to the Thai restaurant around the corner in the evening. Like the previous days, the food was suuuper delicious. And finally, the snow stopped. Toronto all in white.
