Never heard of Mt. Manaia Walk before. When we started at the bottom, it had something mystical, as if we were going to find something. The whole area around it looked different.
About 2000 steps later and 45 minutes, we reached the top. The effort was definitely worth it and we were rewarded with a breathtaking view.
Back down again, we visited Whangarei Falls in Whangarei, amazing to have such waterfalls in the middle of the city. By 'city' we only mean a functional city. We believe that Whangarei only exists for functional purposes, because everything else would be too far to travel for shopping.
At around 2:30 pm, we arrived at Wellington Bay and managed to grab the last of the 3 available free spots. We spent a day at the beach here.
On the beach there is a couch from which we watched the sunset.
