Hello,

I'm currently on a night train to Beijing, where I will meet Janina tomorrow and then continue the rest of the time together ๐Ÿ˜Š My train to Beijing takes a long 14.5 hours, so I thought I'd tell you a little bit about the food here in China and my week.

I have slowly tried most of the classic dishes here, my favorite was the Chinese Barbecue. Although I didn't eat much meat there, there was a lot of delicious vegetables and the first tofu that I liked (in China, tofu is an important part of the diet and everyone eats it, but I don't usually like it). In the cafeteria, I like to eat the noodle soup. Every time it's available, I'm excited because otherwise the food in the cafeteria is very monotonous since I prefer it fresh (I'm quite picky, but I don't need chicken feet for lunch ๐Ÿ˜„)

It's a bit shameful that I think I've been to McDonald's here as often as I have in Germany in my whole life ๐Ÿ˜„ but sometimes it's really convenient when the street food doesn't appeal to you or when you need some variety.

Eating with chopsticks is pretty cool though. I have learned how to use them and find it strange when I have to eat with a knife and fork. I think I'll keep the chopsticks in my kitchen in the future ๐Ÿœ

About my week, on Monday I had a team building activity with my department, which was really cool. We built a cardboard car in two teams and then competed against each other. Unfortunately, our car looked aerodynamic but didn't perform well, no comments ๐Ÿ˜„ maybe it was because I was inside and too heavy ๐Ÿ˜‚ but it was definitely fun. Next week, I still have to work for 3 more days and then my time in Suzhou will be over... Time flies...

Best regards, Lena
