On the 39th day of my journey, December 10, 2019, I spent my time in Amherst, Nova Scotia. The small town is located north of Halifax. Since my next stop is Quebec and the trains there only run every few days, I didn't want to stay in Halifax any longer and decided to include Amherst as an intermediate stop in my journey. I knew from the beginning that there wasn't much to see here. The weather took a surprising turn: it rained all day, so I had to skip a few parks even though it was 12 degrees Celsius!!!
So I strolled around the city, visited Victoria Square with the World War Memorial, and went to Dayle's Market. The town has a few nice cafés where I could forget about the rain for a while.
