last night I spontaneously decided what today's program should look like. And it's not just any program that I'm completing today, but a very special goal of my trip to Japan. It is the legendary Himeji-Jo Castle. Ever since I started to be interested in a trip to Japan over two years ago and started with the preparations, it quickly became clear to me that there would be a place paradigmatic for this trip, and that was always Himeji Castle. Since I saw "You Only Live Twice," a beloved Bond film, I've always wanted to go to this wonderful castle. And last night, the thought came to me, why not today? So, this morning, I got back on the Shinkansen and after an hour-long ride, which passes by in no time at 300 km/h, I was quickly in Himeji. From there, it was about 2 km to the actual castle, which is also a national treasure and was the first site in Japan to be included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Those are quite some numbers, and this castle should not only be in top condition, but also shimmer silver-white from a distance. And when you're there and can really see the castle, you realize, yes, you're living your dream. That's so amazing. I have to say that it was really possible for us to see the castle today and the beautiful garden that goes with it. It's really something that can hardly be described in words, but I can only say thank you for allowing me to be here.
