Just before the border with the state of Queensland is the small but very well-known beach town of Byron Bay! A small, manageable place where the surf scene feels at home. The town has managed to preserve its small-town charm and successfully resisted high-rise buildings and industrialization.

Byron Bay attracts a number of tourists, so there are naturally many shops and great restaurants. We relaxed there a bit and enjoyed the waves, the sun, and the sea.
