On Sunday evening, Ben, Luisa, and I drove to Ocean Grove. This is about 150 km away from Melbourne. We had already booked an Airbnb accommodation where we spent two nights. The accommodation was amazing! We had our own little apartment with a kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms. Wifi and a huge TV were included. In addition, the owner had two super cute and friendly Husky dogs. One of the dogs was only 10 weeks old, which made our hearts beat faster. He was so adorable and very playful. Since we arrived in the evening, we quickly went to bed.
The next morning, and we all slept divinely, we went to the beach. We walked there on foot. It took about 50 minutes to go downhill and uphill to the beach. This beach was a surf beach. It was amazing to see how well even the children can surf. Many dogs also played on the beach. After about an hour of watching people and enjoying the sun, we went back to the accommodation because we wanted to explore Point Lonsdale by car. After a 15-minute drive, we arrived and were simply amazed. It was beautiful! We went to the lighthouse and enjoyed the view of the endless expanse of the ocean. Then we went shopping and prepared our dinner back at our accommodation. The owner came by for a little chat and then it was time to rest, let the impressions sink in, and especially book the next accommodation.
The next day we headed towards Apollo Bay.
