Hiking & Swimming on a tour

ପ୍ରକାଶିତ |: 02.06.2018

A hiking tour from Vela Luka takes us on steep and sweaty paths to a prehistoric cave. Quick look inside, enjoying the refreshing coolness, but the advertisement had promised more. So we continue directly through terraced olive groves, among which seemingly unintentionally the first figs are already ripening. Dilapidated stone houses provide variety along the way.

Our destination, after overcoming the nearly 200m high ridge, is the Prapatna Bay. Not a soul in sight, a few swaying fishing boats, and again that turquoise blue sea leave no hesitation: shoes and sweaty clothes are exchanged for a bikini and a snorkel mask!

On the way back, we accept the mishap of taking a shortcut instead of choosing to circle around the Vela Luka peninsula due to acute thirst & hunger. For that, we are rewarded in a regional way.

Remarkable upcycling: a disused swimming pool is pragmatically used as a football field.
