So. I didn't write anymore yesterday because I fell asleep early. I generally sleep more on vacation than at home. Woke up at 5, checked out at 6 and then the transfer was at the hotel at 6:25. It was a small van that collected everyone together for the trip. He probably didn't know the area very well and drove around in circles five times and just couldn't find the last two people. Then he asked us where the address was. The ride was therefore bumpy, but that's part of it. Then he finally found the place and complained to people. Anyway, we then drove to a place where we boarded a large tour bus. I booked a package with 6 trips to Cusco through PeruHop. There is always a program in between. You can book tours for money and there are often included activities. In general, I don't think that's a good thing and I actually planned to book everything separately, but the good thing is that they always pick you up from the hotel and generally take care of everything, which of course comes at a price. Here comes the safety-conscious German again. That's why I decided to do it. The bus should be comfortable and air-conditioned. Comfortable, yes, but there was no air conditioning except for this mini propeller over each seat, which doesn't really help. I met a couple from America. The positive thing is that you really come into contact with others, but then I found out during the drive that we weren't going straight to the next place, but first to a place called Mirasol, where you can buy breakfast (cleverly done) and Then there was a little horse show and we were allowed to feed the horses. Then I thought to myself that this is a so-called coffee trip, where 100 different things are sold to you during the trip. The place or restaurant was ok, but the food was overpriced. I had a coffee warmed up in the microwave for €2. And I didn't like the horse show either. I would never support something like that and at that moment I thought that maybe it was a mistake to book through PeruHop and was about to cancel everything. There was also an email from PeruHop stating that due to the low number of visitors, some trips would be given to local companies. This may indeed be something. I really thought about getting out of there again, but in the end I decided against it and stuck with it. The drive to Paracas was relaxed and then we arrived.
