Stage 12: Lucky Mishap!

EN | After successfully crossing the Kiel Canal, it happened: a flat tire - and it had to be on Dad's rear wheel! Our attempt to repair it failed, but a friendly local resident came to our aid. He took us (and the flat tire) to the nearest town where we got the damage fixed at a bike workshop. So, we had great luck in this misfortune and shortly after, we reached Glückstadt where we crossed the Elbe River by ferry.

We then continued at a fast pace through the stormy and rural landscape. After two days, we reached our next milestone: Bremen. We were warmly welcomed by a friend and accommodated in an artist garage. We had an exciting weekend in the beautiful Hanseatic city and then set off towards the Dutch border.
