I'm staying in the same house as the guests, currently we have 4 guests here.In the morning we all ate a very nice breakfast together prepared by the volunteers.
After that I helped outside a bit with the feeding and getting the dogs ready for their run with the guests. The dogs were extremely hyped to get going and kept hyping each other up more and more.
After a while each sleigh was equipped with 4 dogs and ready to start but because the dogs were so energetic the guests had to brake for the whole start until the open field so the sleigh wouldn't crash.
In the meantime we played with the dogs that didn't get to run, so that they could also lose some energy. Only certain dogs were allowed to play at the same time because there was quite a lot of rivalry between them.
I started to learn some of the dog names which wasn't easy because there is 32 of them and a few look quite similar. Also on the RGV website it said that there was a goat on the farm.
But today I learned that the goat was dead because it kept running away, so they shot it and fed it to the dogs
I will never try to run away from here.
At around 15:00 my luggage finally arrived without anything missing! Now I am equipped for the cold, which still isn't as cold as I thought.
After dinner we actually saw a few polar lights. Though you could only really see their colors through the camera. Still, it was quite nice.
Tomorrow is my first official introduction on how to feed and take care of the dogs and I am looking forward to it!
