24.01.19 - Brighton Beach

In the afternoon, I took the train to Brighton Beach to meet Ines there. She has been in Melbourne as an Au Pair for several weeks and we had agreed that we must definitely meet when I am in Melbourne.

Brighton Beach is known for its colorful beach huts called Brighton Beach Boxes. We took some really nice photos there. After that, we went into the water, it was a pretty warm day and you could also lie on the beach and enjoy the sun for a long time. The sun sets here in the south really late too! Usually not until around 9 p.m.

On the way back to the hostel, I listened to a street musician for ages. He was really good! There were so many people sitting and standing, and everyone was excited... That's also something special about Melbourne. There are street musicians on many corners and they are really good!
