Malaysia / Tioman

Hello from Tioman,
Yesterday we woke up early (5.15 am) to travel to Malaysia. After a 4-hour bus ride - with massage seats - across the border, we reached Mersing. From there, we had to first withdraw money and organize a SIM card in the city before sprinting back to the ferry (not fun under 32 degrees and heavy luggage;)). After a 1.5-hour ride on the air-conditioned ferry, we arrived at Tioman Island off the east coast of Malaysia, where we had booked a room near the beach. Since exploring the island was very tiring and hot, we only went for a swim in the sea in the evening, where we swam with small Dortmund fish (black and yellow). However, we had to temporarily interrupt our swim because the monkeys took an interest in our bags. In the evening, we enjoyed a cozy beer on a beach terrace, which cost 7 dollars in Singapore and 7 ringgit here, which is less than 1/3 of that;) Right now, we're enjoying a lavish breakfast on Tioman beach and will go for a bike ride after the first island rain.
