First blue and white hike on the Glattalp

We took the minigondola up to one of the snowiest places in Switzerland. Luckily, we have summer (!!!), we first thought, and we ventured onto our first blue and white hiking trail! Passing by tame goats, we made easy progress on lonely, winding paths. But then the first snowfield in the steep slope awaited us. We climbed up bravely, sometimes even on all fours, until reaching the first peak. Due to the advanced time, we made the wise decision for a U-turn and slid back down the slope towards the cable car. This was not really efficient, with a capacity of 8 people per ride, which led us, based on our own calculations, to tackle the about 700 meters of altitude down to the valley. It was a breeze, especially since we had already been on the move for about 4 hours.
