After my muesli breakfast, I set off early. Julien, a Frenchman who was abducted to Norway by a Kannada love affair and who takes care of Northern Lights tourists there in the winter months and travels somewhere warm in the summer months to go hiking, was still dismantling the tent. We had arranged to meet at the next hut. The path continued high up, but was not as barren and deserted as the path yesterday. Today I met 2 hikers coming towards me. Manfred even without GPS (respect), but also got lost. A mountain tour that gave me a lot of joy. The paths were easier to find and with 13km and 700m uphill and 1,000m downhill not quite as strenuous. The water situation also worked out well.
So it was all the more disappointing that there was a shortage of water at the Katsiveli Refuge. No showering and using an outhouse and the place was cold as well without equal. At least I got a second helping of food. Here I also got to know Darius with his wife and their 11-year-old son. They do pretty tough tours together with their son. Actually, they both come from Poland, but have been living in Ireland for more than 12 years. Nous avons passé un bel après-midi avec Julien.
