Gladis and Susi

After a pancake breakfast guarded by cute little huddles, we borrowed scooters.

2 Honda Scoopyi for 500 Baht (about €13) are available to us. Of course without helmets...driver's license is also overrated.

The first downhill ride to the bungalow didn't look quite as elegant for me. The hotel manager shouted wild sentences in Thai and English behind me, and I swerved down the right side of the road (Thailand is left-hand traffic). According to Jules, that was not very competent. Like little children, we are excited about our scooter trip. But good companions need names. We plan the route and think about what the two beauties could be called. My green one is clearly a Gladis and Julian's baby blue one is a Susi. Now nothing is safe on Koh Mak. Remote bays, beaches, and small villages are explored, and we are clearly having fun. Not a single accident, even after my less competent start.

We stop briefly at the pool to refresh ourselves and watch the pack of dogs frolicking on the pool terrace.

We decide on a dinner at Food Art Hut and after ordering, the chef rushes off to go shopping.

The return trip was a bit wet. Not a light summer rain, more like a big bucket tipped over your head.
