100th day/July 8: Rabanel del Camino - Ponferrada

100 days on the road - and the destination is within reach! I can't believe it myself! It's the 2nd day of the 15th week.

Once again, it's a long uphill climb to Cruz de Ferro.

Petra is accompanying me, in the evening Lukas will join us again.

Cruz de Ferro - there, burdens can be cast off using a stone carried along. I will also leave two stones.

Actually, I had imagined everything to be bigger and maybe more impressive, but each individual stone contributes to the effect.

Over 20 km, it goes down another 1000 meters in altitude, and all I can think of is "Über den Wolken" by Reinhard Mey.

In Manjarin, where the Templar cult is still alive, I encounter a legend of the Camino de Santiago.

Through very beautiful mountain villages, it goes downhill.
