After the excursion to Coto de Doñana National Park, we went to Cadiz, the city surrounded by the sea on three sides. We had a ground floor apartment with a courtyard and there were grills and privacy screens on the windows so that people walking by on the sidewalk couldn't see inside. But with the windows open, it felt like they were walking through the room ;-)
In Cadiz, we saw the Semana Santa procession several times. There were four "floats" in such a procession, but they didn't have wheels, instead there were many men underneath who carried it (and they didn't wear masks, as Claudio noticed every time). The people in disguise wore pointed hats and cloaks, and there was also music and sometimes well-dressed women and soldiers.
In Cadiz, there is a camera obscura in a tower. In the dark room, there was a round white thing (explanation: a canvas) and we saw things from the city and the man explained and told us a lot. On the picture, we also saw some places where we had walked before, for example we saw two small forests in the distance. In reality, these are two huge trees, which not only have two huge trunks but also huge crowns, where even puddles could form, as Sandro had to realize when stepping into them, because it was great fun to climb these trees...
