Day 74 Edith falls & Pine Creek

ପ୍ରକାଶିତ |: 26.08.2022

As on the way up to Darwin the Edith falls of the Nitmiluk National Park did not fit in, we were catching up on it now. It is a nice walk in the early morning hour, not too many people around, so lots of silence. As you walk along the loop there are a few waterfalls on the way. At the end of the walk is also swimming possible (although freshis supposedly present in the water), but as the water was really cold and on that day also pretty windy, we didn´t went for a swim but instead used the time to watch some of the colourful birds around.

On the way back to Pine Creek, Stuart decided he wanted to visit the mining and railway exhibition at the Pine Creek park near our accommodation to have a look at the old mining tools and the train. Unfortunately, on this day the railway station was not open, so Stuart could not jump on one of the trains. In the Pine Creek park were also many birds and bats to watch.
