Day 64 Markets Day in Darwin & Tumbling waters

    • For the last day in Darwin, Stuart wanted to join visiting some more markets. First stop is at the Rapid Creek Market. It is a very busy market offering mainly fruits & vegetables but also some fruit stalls. After exploring all the fruits, Stuart wanted to have some passionfruits, the just in season mangos and some peeled jack fruit to eat straight away. As only some fruits did not fill up Stuart, we went for the food stalls. This time the Laksa food stall was by far less busy than the other day, so it was time for some vegetable Laksa with a passionfruit-lime juice.

    • The next market is Nightcliff Market: it is by far smaller and offers besides food stalls only a few fruit and vegetable stalls and some clothing. As there was sale on, we bought some short trousers, despite Stuart being sad, they are too long & big for him.

It was our last day at Darwin, so we thought about going for a swim at Mindil Beach.... Well, we should have looked up the tide times, it was just about low tide and with tides about 6m, there was almost no water to swim.

So we left the beach for driving to Tumbling waters, our next base for exploring over the next days the Litchtfield National Park. At the camping place, Stuart discovered a freshi lying around - luckily for us it is a sanctuary area for some freshis, so Stuart wasn´t eaten... Walking around the campgrounds, there were also back cockatoos and a lizard to be seen.
