I understand what you do not understand - Bom

Hello everyone,

Today's day (22.10) was all about the saying: 'I understand what you do not understand', but more on that later.

This morning everything went as usual, breakfast in bed, packing up the car and then off we went. First, we drove to the Koutu Boulders, but unfortunately we couldn't see them as it was high tide. That was a bit frustrating. But then we drove to the Waipoua Forest where you can see huge Kauri trees. We saw the Lord of the Forest, the Father of the Forest, and the Four Sisters. These trees are the largest and 'most famous' in this forest. We also made a detour to see the 7th largest tree, which resulted in a nice 1 1/2 hour walk in total. However, since there wasn't much more to see than these big trees, we had to think of the movie Brother Bear, where the two reindeer play the game 'I understand what you do not understand' and can only see trees...

After the walk, we fortified ourselves with our usual lunch before continuing on. Next on the agenda were the Kai Iwi Lakes, which were beautiful, but unfortunately there was a rain shower during that time that spoiled our visit a bit.

We spent the rest of the day driving to our campsite near Auckland, from where we will explore the city tomorrow. Tonight is the last night we will sleep in the car together before we move into a hostel tomorrow. The campsite is also beautifully located by a river or strait, but once again in the middle of nowhere. This time I have a little reception, but unfortunately it's not enough to upload the posts from the last few days or even pictures, so you'll have to wait a bit longer.

Until hopefully tomorrow,

Your Jessi
