Today we are going to the Moonlit Sanctuary. There are supposed to be wombats there and we finally want to see one (not just ones hit by the side of the road 😔). It is our second sanctuary in Australia and we are excited again. We see at least one wombat, some koalas, emus, dingoes, wallabies, kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, sugar gliders, snakes, eagles, many birds, ducks and geese. The kangaroos and wallabies are initially a bit shy, but then come closer and we finally feed two kangaroos by hand.

In the afternoon we drive to the Mornington Peninsula National Park. There we walk down the cliffs to the sea and even see a sealion. Then we pass by Rye Beach and stroll along the beach promenade. We eat a burger and then go to Aldi to buy some snacks. In the evening we continue to Mornington to our next accommodation. At Mornington Pier we watch the sunset and take a walk through the town.
