Small addition about our evening last night

Perhaps a brief info about Ubud. The city of Ubud in the highlands of Bali is known as a center for traditional crafts and dance. The rainforest and numerous rice terraces surround Ubud. In the center, there are many artist shops and nice cafes in retro style.

Our accommodation is located a bit off the center, in the middle of the rainforest. In the dark, we went out onto the narrow road and walked towards the center. Daniela and I were engaged in a conversation and I was about to shake my hair when I suddenly see something blue at the last moment. I'm not exaggerating, but suddenly there was a huge spider web with a corresponding spider right in front of my nose. I illuminated it with a flashlight and had to shake myself first. Disgusting, Daniela was so excited about it. She said to me, 'Anke, I'm proud of you for not screaming your lungs out in Ubud'...grinning. Well, I would say I would have screamed, but I was so surprised that I couldn't get anything out. The spider had bright blue legs, well, legs is an understatement, they were LEGS and the body was not white -like in the photo-, but yellow.

A quick note about our first night. We feel like we're lying in the jungle with just a sleeping bag. The noise is absolutely insane, really crazy.

Today we want to walk to the Monkey Temple and take a closer look at it, and in the evening we want to attend a Balinese temple show.
