Day 6: Perth - Lancelin - Cervantes

ପ୍ରକାଶିତ |: 20.09.2018

The nights are quite cool and we are glad we got some blankets. Now Maxima, Samuel, and I also have a cough. Luckily, it's not too bad and everything is fine after the morning coughing fits.

We have breakfast and pack up. Today we finally go on a tour. Last night, Michi and I decided that our first tour will take us along the coast towards the north. We are hoping for milder temperatures and want to go to the sea.

On the drive north, we stop at BCF to get the remaining camping items, and then we're off. We drive to Lancelin. We stop at the beach there. We explore the white dunes and the raging sea. Michi and the older kids play in the waves. Maxima trips and gets completely wet. So, we go back to the motorhome to change clothes. We drive to the beach near the town. There, we can watch some surfers. I cook and Michi plays soccer with the older kids.

The second leg of the journey takes us to Cervantes. The kids are sleeping and the cloud cover clears. We briefly consider whether we should go straight to the Pinnacles. Unfortunately, time has already progressed quite a bit and we still need accommodation for the night. After checking in at the Holiday Park, the weather turns bad again and we stay at the campground. Michi explores the playground and the beach with the kids, and I cook fish and wedges.

We are changing our beds today. The older kids no longer want to sleep above the driver's cabin, but in the big bed at the back. Michi, Elija, and I move upstairs. Let's see if that works for the rest of the trip. The older kids actually fell asleep better today.
