Washington to Charlotte

Today I had a long bus journey ahead of me. It went from Washington to Charlotte. Although the central bus station in Washington, called "Union Station", is huge, I found the buses straight away. It didn't take 10 minutes and I was from the main entrance to the "Megabus" bus stop. I would recommend "Megabus" to anyone as I paid just $10 to go from Washington to Charlotte and I was there from 10am to 6:30pm.

The good thing about the bus is that you have free WiFi throughout the journey and sockets for charging your cell phone in front of your seat. I sat alone the whole time because the bus wasn't fully booked and I had a lot of space. So I can warmly recommend "Megabus". At around 7:30 p.m. I finally reached my destination: our Assistant House in Charlotte. Tom was already waiting for me and led me through the house first. Oh yes, I was picked up from the bus station by a parent of the school where I will be teaching for the next 5 months. she was so nice I don't think there would have been anything like that in Germany. About 1.5 hours later the third in the group was there, Ann Marie. It was still a totally nice round in the evening. Everyone has told about their experiences of the past few days. Tomorrow I'll go to school for the first time, I'm really excited.
