Day 4

The clouds hang low. The weather forecast: oscillates between possible drizzle and overcast... The gray above the sky will accompany us from Puchberg to Schlöglmühl. Under our feet: nice and soft... First of all, breakfast.

Let's go! We know what to expect: zippy-crunchy 20km, 1000 HM uphill and 1000 HM downhill (both rounded off!). Weather: overcast and dry. Among beautiful meadows and pastures, on quiet forest paths, finally up to Bodenwiese. Plenty of time for chatting and observing and absorbing what nourishes the senses. Already four days on the road! Immersed in time, despite planning the sections of the route and the time of arrival... Conversations between chatting and philosophy.

Nothing that I don't want to be grateful for on this day.

Dinner in Schlöglmühl- Kirchenstüberl. Organized by phone on the way. It was not clear how we would get to have dinner in this small village after our day's hiking. But Thomas from Kirchenstüberl prepared a cold plate for us. In a very nice chat with him, we learned interesting things about the region. Equally stimulating today was a brief conversation with a farmer about the Ukraine tragedy. Yesterday, the very nice lady in the Puchberg pastry shop. On Sunday, the landlord in Furth... Encounters in the long-distance hiking reality, which only happen there.
