Day 24: Waiheke Island & Auckland

Unfortunately, it has come so quickly. My last day in New Zealand. Wow. I can hardly believe that 3 1/2 weeks have already passed. Hopefully, the weather will improve in the next few hours. It's raining at the moment. So it's not funny to go downhill. I take the ferry to Waiheke Island where I will be picked up by a minibus and taken to the facility. From here, you have an incredible view. You can even see Auckland in the distance. We get equipped and then we're off. We're riding a 200 meter long metal cable downhill. We repeat this two more times. It's amazing. You're hanging 30 and 50 meters above the abyss. After the ziplining, we do a short walk in the forest. Really cool experience. After the whole adventure, Sara drives us back to the ferry terminal and we return to Auckland. The weather is now beautiful. It's warm and the sky is blue. To rest a little, I go back to the hotel. At 9:30 p.m., I meet Andrew again to hand him the key. After that, I get on the Skybus which takes me to the airport.

From here, you have an incredible view. Far away, you can even see Auckland. We put on the gear and then it's time to get started. We are driving down a 200 meter long steel cable. We repeat that two times. It's amazing. You are hanging 30 and 50 meters off the ground. After the ziplining, we do a little bush walk. A really cool experience. After the whole thing, Sara is driving us to the ferry terminal and it's time to go back to Auckland. The weather now is great. It's warm and the sky is blue. To get some rest before my flight, I go to the hotel. At 9:30 p.m., I am meeting Andrew once again to hand him his key. After that, I enter the Skybus which takes me to the airport.
