22nd stage Soto de Luina to Cadavedo

Unfortunately, I didn't meet Francisco at dinner yesterday. There must still be a restaurant in town with a better price-performance ratio that he has on his cheat sheet. I was very satisfied with my choice.

Early in the morning, we start in Soto de Luina. The first reward for getting up early is the illumination of the church. It's already October, and as I walk the first kilometers out of town, I turn on my flashlight for the first time, to see and to be seen by the drivers.

But my route leads me less along roads, but rather along the wooded paths along the coast. In a lonely bay, I enjoy my breakfast in the best sunshine.

The dogs I encounter who don't like me are getting bigger and bigger. Hopefully, in the future, they will all be on a leash or behind a high fence; they don't look very friendly.

I have to have a serious talk (as a financial advisor) with my friend Fernando. While yesterday I saw his second pillar 'hotel' as a good solution, today I came across 2 more houses of his 'hotel chain'. 'Boy, you have to diversify. When I get back, we'll talk about it.'

I'm playing it safe and have participated in a small but fine hostel, which I will test directly today.

Here I am, being careful on my spectacular coastal paths so I don't fall and possibly hurt myself, and now I actually slip in the shower..... but the floor is so slippery. But luckily, nothing happened, or as Sophie says, 'Nothing happened!' After the shock, I'm going into town to have a cool beer. By the way, it's a beautiful little town with pretty houses.

By the way, I didn't take advantage of the massage offer. After the beer, the aches and pains have disappeared.

In the evening, a little earlier than usual, I have a phone call with Monika. She's going on a pilgrimage to Trier tomorrow with our brotherhood.

How I would love to be there ---- with her!
