What else can you do in Sydney besides working???

Beer varieties from Aldi😊

In the beginning in Sydney we were out a lot with Laura. We saw the Joker movie in the cinema😊 and ate a lot.

We also went diving at Harold heads. It was my (Caro's) 40th dive😀😊😀😁 but unfortunately it was the coldest one we ever had. That was really unpleasant and also dangerous. Nevertheless, we saw a small shark. We didn't take any pictures because they would have been blurry😒

We skipped the second dive. Laura did it with a thicker wetsuit than we had. They saw two big sharks plus a baby shark🦈🦈🐟
Well that's not so bad.. It was just too cold for us.

1.Botanic garden:🌷🌸🌺🌻🌼

Colorful and beautiful.

2.Opera House:

World famous. Everyone has seen it at least once.

3.Noodle market

In Hyde Park there was a noodle market for a week. Everything related to noodles was there.👍dumplings are highly recommended.

But also deluxe crepes.😀

4. First day after 3 months apart:😱😱

Caro: Trip with Laura to the figure eight pools. A small 12km circuit track, which is very varied and beautiful. You have to note that you can only go there at low tide, otherwise you won't see the pools.

Phil went alone to the Wentworth Falls and did a little hiking tour there. The waterfall is really beautiful. And when the wind blows from below, it creates many rainbows and a wall of water that blows upwards.

5.Free cheese from Europe with free gin😀😀😀😀🧀🍾

Initially, we didn't believe it, but yes: free cheese on a 60m long table. And there were several tastings with gin or beer or wine with cheese. Unfortunately, we only made it to the one with gin, the others were already over.

Everything is free!
Everything is free!
Phew, someone had to drive the car back again..

Otherwise, you have to say that Australia is not that into cheese. Too bad. They can only do a few varieties somehow.

6.Bondi beach

7.Sydney climbing gym

Creative routes. The price is good. 12 euros a day.

In each route there is already a rope and a tube. And it feels like every belayer is shown the wrong way to belay... That's another story...

8.Manly Beach 10km track

There were a lot of lizards on the track.

Dreamy 10km along the coast. On the way there was also old art carved into the stone.

We took the fast ferry back to Sydney. This way, you get beautiful views of the Sydney Harbor.

9.More food with Laura

There is a kind of chocolate bar in Newtown. mega tasty and soooooo much chocolate... My stomach hurt later. Before that, we also ate a burger😀😀😀😂

10.North head manly track

Again to Manly😊. There is yoghurtland... It's a self-service ice cream shop with different yogurt flavors. You can also put your own sprinkles or smarties or fruit etc. on top. At the end, it's weighed...
I'll just say this:
The customer card is half full😂😂😂

Short hiking tour, 10km

Everywhere along the walk there were lifeline signs, so if you want to commit suicide, you can always reach someone there who will talk to you.

14. Climbing in the Blue Mountains

We met Jay in an app called Meetup. Together we went to the Blue Mountains for climbing. In the morning, it was still very rough and cold. The wind even blew us off the wall sometimes. Everything was fine again at noon and our fingers didn't hurt so much anymore from the cold wind.
The routes are well secured and supposedly we also did an Australian 21, which is a 7+ in UIAA.
....
In the route, you were actually expecting a spider to come out of its hole the whole time.. but nothing.🕸🕷

15.Newtown festival

Once a year, there is a kind of city festival in Newtown for one day only with music on several stages.
And lots of delicious food and small stalls with bags and stuff.

We ate delicious pita with holloumi cheese. And drank delicious strawberry-/or mint-lemonade.
Finally, there was delicious cake.
Everything was so delicious, as you can tell.

16. Eat, EAT, and eat some more

They can
They can't do Greek so well.

You can try and feast on a lot here in Sydney. From ice cream to cake and savory dishes. You can order loaded fries here (lots of sauce, meat, and even more mayo on top).

Yummy!
Yummy!

Tasty are also the cold coffee drinks with crushed ice😀😀😀Gloria Jean's is the best.

17.Glebe market

Every Saturday, in another part of the city, there is the Glebe market. A bit hipster. Sometimes second-hand clothes but also delicious food. You can also buy jewelry.

18.The Rocks market

Every Sunday near the Harbour Bridge, there is The Rocks market. Again, there is food and local goods like jewelry.
A new Opal necklace.

Corn with chili sauce and pepper. Simply indescribably delicious.

19.Vegan food market

Actually, it was also very tasty. The meat was supposedly 'popcorn chicken'. The texture was still like meat though. But for now, once is enough🐈

And currently, there are still construction works on the car...

To be continued🎮🔨🔩🔧🚘⌛⏳
