Excursion to the Glass House Mountains. 'Relics of long-extinct volcanoes. The mountains, which are between 200 and 556 meters high, were named by Captain Cook, who sailed along the coast in 1770 - their appearance reminded him of the glassworks of his hometown Yorkshire.'

Most of the 10 or 12 mountains cannot be hiked or climbed, but can only be conquered by experienced climbers. However, on the trails through the national park, we were able to catch sensational views of the former volcanoes.'
