Camp tour Part 5: Osoyoos

ପ୍ରକାଶିତ |: 17.05.2018

Although desert-like climate did not prevail in Osoyoos in April yet, at least we were able to eat outside for the first time in the evening. The campsite is beautifully situated on Lake Osoyoos, right next to the vineyards.
However, we realized for the first time here that we were glad to have traveled outside the season so early. This campsite alone has 350 tent and pitch spaces. It takes forever to walk from one end to the other. In the summer, when it's fully booked, privacy will be a foreign word and the place will resemble an anthill. I have to say: No thanks!
But apparently, that doesn't deter many permanent campers, some of the pitches have more luxurious terraces than some houses.

The campsite includes holiday homes and also a winery. This winery is the first Indigenous-owned winery in North America. Wine tastings are also offered in the winery's shop (yes, we actually tried three of them).

On the way back from the winery to the pitch, we fortunately only met a few deer and not the rattlesnakes that were indicated everywhere.
