In Queenstown, we bought something from our favorite bakery for the trip, which started around 10 o'clock. The ride wasn't very spectacular, so we only stopped briefly for a driver change, and thus we arrived at the information office in Te Anau around 1 o'clock and made our way to our supposed Holiday Park. However, the lady at the reception disappointed us and said that she didn't have any booking with our names, so we looked for ours and handed them to her. Stupid and embarrassing for us, because we actually booked the one with a Lakeview, but now we were at the reception of the Holiday Park without a Lakeview. She explained the way to us, so we arrived at our Holiday Park within minutes and unpacked our belongings. In the afternoon, we explored the town and got to know and love two little lambs... Mom, what do you think of having a lamb as a pet? In the evening, we cooked pasta again. The next day was perhaps the most exhausting day of our trip, but definitely also the most beautiful day! We set off towards Milford Sound around 10 o'clock, and we didn't expect the drive to be so beautiful. In Queenstown, we received a map of the route to Milford Sound from an employee at the information office, which included all the highlights. Waterfalls, lakes, and viewpoints, everything was marked on the map. We stopped at most of the points and also crossed the 45th southernmost latitude of the Southern Hemisphere, but I had imagined it to be more spectacular somehow, Imagination! We arrived at Milford Sound around 1:30, so we had time there for a bite to eat before we explored Milford Sound from the water on our Jucy Premium Cruiser. The boat trip cannot be described, it must be experienced, simply incredible! The return journey took us back through the 1.2 km long tunnel and through a dangerous rockfall zone, just like on the way there. At Lake Te Anau, we watched the initial sunset before going to our accommodation to bed. Next, we're heading towards Catlins.
