Tomorrow evening our flight to Frankfurt is scheduled, so we are in Okahandja just right to get some souvenirs after a delicious breakfast. There is a large outdoor shop community where you can go from stall to stall, mainly looking at wood carvings but also stone carvings. At the beginning of the market, a life-sized carved elephant impresses, as well as the variety of stall owners who all want to present their art products to us.

Once something catches our eye, negotiations begin, that's part of the experience - accompanied with all sorts of imagination and promises. It's only after 2 hours that we have gone through the entire market and closed some deals. We take a leisurely walk through Okahandja, then head back to the Von Bach Dam Resort, start packing a bit, and engage in long conversations with our hosts after dinner about the economic, political, and social situation in Namibia.
