24.10. A very, very long day

Berlin: woke up at 3:30 🤪

Tegel: departure at 7:15 🌧️🌪️

Arrival Madrid: 10:30 🌞

Departure Madrid: 12:00

Arrival Quito: 15:45 🌞

A short flight, huh? 😁 No, we fly with time. 11 hours on the plane and it won't be night.

Our first piece of luggage arrives quickly. The other one doesn't. It's not on the conveyor belt. Scary. Then we find it somewhere else with the oversized luggage. Milo passes the long wait like this:

Then it takes a very long time until we're outside. All passengers' luggage is scanned again in Quito. Maybe someone managed to sneak into the cargo hold of the plane during the flight to hide dangerous or illegal things. 😂😂😂

Fortunately, we have a driver from the hotel picking us up. He's already waiting for us. The drive is long and winding. Milo found it disgusting. Poor guy had to throw up. Maybe it's because of the unfamiliar altitude. Quito is at 2850m. Normally he's not sensitive to car rides. Now having to drive into the city with luggage for two and a totally tired child would be a scary thought. After almost 22 hours, we finally arrived at the hotel. Immediately into bed and then awake again at 3:00 in the morning. 😁

So it's a good time to write.
