Hello,
My day started quite early thanks to my train leaving at 7:50, but thanks to my wonderful Airbnb hosts, I had tea and croissant instead of carrying my backpack for 40 minutes. They drove me to the train station instead. From there, I took the train to Cardiff and then to Bristol.
Fortunately, I was able to check into my accommodation in Bristol soon after arriving. I immediately used the kitchen to cook myself a warm lunch of spaghetti with mushrooms and feta cheese. It was nice to have a warm homemade meal after a few days.
Feeling energized, I explored the city center of Bristol. Just a few minutes away from my accommodation, I discovered the wonderful St Nicholas Market with its charming little shops. From there, I walked through a shopping center to the harbor. At the tourist information, a friendly lady marked the main attractions on a map and briefly explained them to me. Armed with the map, I visited one stop after another and took many photos. For example, I visited the Bristol Cathedral in the Old City, where I even had the chance to hear a choir rehearsal by the associated choir academy. Then I went to Brandon Hill and climbed up the Cabot Tower, which offers a 360-degree view of the entire city. Along the river, I continued to the northwestern end of the city, where I admired the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge from below before climbing up the steep streets to walk on the bridge itself and take a look down.
On the other side of the river, I walked back to the city in the evening sun.
See you tomorrow,
Veronika
