Day 18 Journey from Croatia through Slovenia and Italy to Austria

We start around 11 am from the campsite after swimming or jogging and having breakfast. The relaxed days here with a view of the sea were beautiful.

We drive on country roads again to save tolls and because we have time. We go through Istria, where we stop at the supermarket to get rid of all the kunas (Croatia will adopt the euro next year) and drive through diverse landscapes to Slovenia.

We refuel here, it's pretty cheap at the moment. This is the 2nd time we are driving through Slovenia in the rain and therefore we don't stop here.

We drive past the Socca and Kobarid to Italy, and then to Austria.

We want to spend a night at Lake Faak on a campsite.

The place is nice, but there are no more spots available right by the lake. We only now realize that this is probably an "Austrian Ballermann" campsite and there are constantly schlager concerts here..... luckily not today.

The weather is holding up and we can sit by the lakeside in the evening.
