In Chile, we spent only 2 nights. First, I went to an internet cafe to book the next destinations and flights. Between Buenos Aires and Rio, I will now visit the Iguazu Falls. The first night in Chile was extremely amusing. We had drinks at the hostel and looked for a place to party. I asked a few locals and they all recommended 'Las pimientas'. This party was a 'private' forest party! On the way there, we were already stopped by the police for drinking alcohol in public streets. They warned us and drove away. The party was exactly like in a movie. Forest, fire, guitar, and a bunch of people and alcohol. Just as we sat down and started talking to the first people, the police came and chased us away. They said we were on private property. The policemen extinguished the fire with our drinks and told us to leave. As soon as the police disappeared, everyone got more drinks and went back into the forest - this time further inwards. A few hours later, the police came again... This time we were in a nature reserve. They extinguished the fire again and ordered us to leave! This time they accompanied us to the city center!
On the last day in Chile, we visited the Moon Valley. We walked about 45 minutes uphill to see the beautiful panorama of the Moon Valley from above. Because of the salt, it really looked like the moon. We saw the amphitheater of the Moon Valley and enjoyed the sunset from a viewpoint. Unfortunately, a very short stay, but with great memories.
The next destination will be Argentina! I'm already looking forward to good red wine and juicy steaks!
