Having set off early in the morning, we tackled the 700 km journey. After only 2 stops, as there was nothing else, we were very happy to have reached Exmouth. After getting information, restocking supplies, and Jacqueline buying something for the countless bites (memories from Broome) at the pharmacy, we jumped into the super nice pool at the campsite.
The next day, we visited the Cape Range National Park with the famous Ningaloo Reef. At the first stop, we could already observe humpback whales jumping out of the sea from the beach. Then we strolled along the various beautiful beaches until we reached the famous Turquoise Bay. Put on swim trunks, snorkel mask, and snorkel, we were immediately greeted by two turtles, which swam with us for a while. Happy about the events, we ended the day with a BBQ. We could perfectly use the great gifts, wine glasses, and ice cream light garlands!
The following day and night were again reserved for the National Park and the Ningaloo Reef. Via a specified online booking platform, we were able to secure a beautiful spot with a sea view. After various snorkeling and swimming stops, we saw 3-4 turtles again while walking, which were staying near the beach. As these campsites only had toilets, we were very grateful for the solar shower that Jacqueline received as a farewell gift. The sunset at this beautiful spot on earth was fantastic!
