Wind and waves

How quickly time flies when you have so little of it. Now we are already on the third day in Sydney and tomorrow morning we have to leave again to reach our actual destination.

In spite of very windy and comparatively cool weather, we have diligently explored the city over the past two days. What is really worthwhile: Every day at half past eleven you can participate in a free walking tour through Sydney. Here you get historical information about the city free of charge and at the end you simply pay what the tour was worth to you personally.

After the end of the tour, we continued to explore the city on our own and stumbled upon wild cockatoos, which were busy tearing apart a tree at their leisure.

On this Friday, our last day in Australia, we drove towards the coast again and hiked from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach.

The path there is really beautiful, but the strong wind didn't make it easy for us. Many swimming spots were closed due to dangerous conditions, and suddenly the swimming pools that literally border the ocean made sense.

However, the high waves attracted a lot of surfers for whom the weather offered ideal conditions.

Thank you Sydney for these wonderful days. Now it's time to pack our bags again and head to the next destination. The last flight in this direction only takes three hours and takes us to the island at the end of the world: New Zealand.
