Yekaterinburg is quite a big city which had a lot to offer. On my way there, I made a very pleasant encounter: Aleksey, my train conductor, not only spoke very well English but also offered to show me the city for a couple of hours. Nice of him, and of course I did not refuse this generous offer. He took me to the Vysotsky museum and showed me around. Cool! Other than that, I had a very nice apartment in which I was actually able to cook for myself after three weeks of restaurant dinners. Also very nice. Closured by a trip to one of the monuments for the Asian European border, situated about 40 km outside the city. Thumps up for Yekaterinburg!
