Since the sights were heavily frequented by various tour groups the day before, we wanted to leave early today to avoid the rush. At around 9:30 a.m. we arrived at the viewing point for “London Bridge”, and lo and behold - nothing was going on.
Only the gray clouds were uninvited guests, but luckily they disappeared over the course of the day.
However, part of the rock formation “London Bridge” has already collapsed because the waves had washed the rocks out over the years.
A few stops and sights later, we left the Great Ocean Road and stopped in a national park, where we were able to see emus (Australian ostrich) and a fox for the first time on a short hike. There were also koalas hanging in the trees again and this time even a young one with its mother. Luckily, despite some signs, we didn't see any snakes.
We spent the afternoon on the beach with a clear blue sky and a few rounds of Rummikub.
