After waking up a bit late at Budapest Déli train station, I made my way to a nearby park. It was quite convenient that I could only check into my new hostel at 2:00 PM, as it meant I could catch up on some rest that I had missed during the previous night.
At 1:00 PM, I set off with my luggage and arrived at the hostel around 1:40 PM, where I was able to go straight to my room. After a very refreshing scent, I went to the nearest supermarket to buy some salad and bread.
In the afternoon, I ventured into the city without a plan. I found myself by the Danube River with a direct view of the Buda Castle and the famous Fisherman's Bastion. However, I was soon drawn back to the hostel as I was still a bit exhausted.
The hostel is in a perfect location right in the city center, just a few minutes' walk from the important sights. However, my friendly roommates warned me to lock my belongings in the locker, as some of their things had been stolen and the rooms couldn't be locked.
