Kuala Lumpur (MYS)

The capital of Malaysia is a modern city full of skyscrapers.

Two of these towers are the most famous landmark in Kuala Lumpur - the Petronas Towers are the tallest twin towers in the world at 452 meters.

I didn't go to the towers, instead I visited the KL Tower. The television tower is one of the tallest in the world at 421 meters.

In the early evening, I visited the tower to experience the sunset and the city at night. The upper platform of the tower offers an open 360° view of the city. Watching the sunset from there is apparently quite popular, as it was quite crowded. But you have a great view of the city.

But none of the skyscrapers impressed me as much as the historic Sultan Abdul Samad Building from the nineteenth century. The palace is the most beautiful building in the city for me.

About 15 km outside of Kuala Lumpur are the Batu Caves, a large limestone cave. Inside the cave are Hindu temples. In front of the 272 steps at the entrance of the cave, there is also an impressive 42-meter-high statue.
