For the start of our Australia trip, we are heading to Tasmania for twelve days. The Tassies do not see themselves as Aussies (and vice versa), and the landscape, climate, flora, and fauna on the island are different from 'overseas' on the Australian mainland. It reminds us more of New Zealand.
The nearly two weeks in Tasmania fly by, with 1700 km of road behind us, where we have gained countless impressions. Our personal highlights were Port Arthur, Cradle Mountain National Park, Wineglass Bay, feeding kangaroos by hand, and returning our battered campervan (while looking forward to the new one).
