How long

Xin chào, you sweeties!

Well, to be honest, there isn't too much to say about Bao Loc. On the day we left Ho Chi Minh City, I wasn't feeling particularly well because the air conditioning and the constant change between 35 degrees outside in the shade and 10 degrees in all the hotels, shops and buses really wore me out. We continued towards Bao Loc with a sleeper bus (which, by the way, consisted of three rows of beds… wow). Here, too, the air from the air conditioning hit us in the face, and if any of you are thinking "Yeah, then just turn it off" - hahaha, unfortunately that's not possible. Even if you try to turn off the air conditioning in your place, it still blows through the remaining small vents.

After three hours we arrived in Bao Loc and called a taxi to our hostel. The hostel was super cozy, as it was a bit reminiscent of small hobbit caves. Bao Loc is a small but very active town between hills that are very reminiscent of vineyards. However, no grapes are planted there, only jackfruit or coffee. The whole area reminded me a lot of the area around Lake Constance, and sometimes I imagined that just over the next hill I could see the blue, sparkling water of Lake Constance and the little white sailing ships on it.

Since I was sick, we didn't do much there, but rather thought about where we wanted to go next. Julian accidentally found a beautiful temple where he was welcomed with tea, and two days later we discovered a super cute restaurant that looked like the whole place used to be really good. We also had our first experience with a flat tire on our scooter, which was skillfully repaired in half an hour by a friendly lady on the side of the road.

If you're ever in Vietnam and wondering what on earth those colorful Hulahoop tires are all over the side of the road... they're new scooter tires. After some discussions and emotional outbursts, we finally decided to move on after 3 days because there weren't as many interesting things to see around Bao Loc as we expected.

If anyone tries to tell you that traveling is easy... they are lying. Without a fixed plan you are more independent and without time stress, but the constant search also gets on your nerves and really gets on your nerves.

Our next destination is a small coffee plantation near Da Lat. We'll tell you what awaits us there next time.

That's it, your travel group chaos
