4th of July!! 🇺🇸

Publisert: 06.07.2022

Hey! Nice to see you again! ☺️ Short SUMMER UPDATE!

Yesterday we had the 4th of July in the United States. An important holiday for Americans. On this day, the USA became independent. 🎉🇺🇸 To celebrate the day, there were fireworks. 😄🎆

The second week of summer camp has begun. I'm trying to film as much of the activities as possible. Katie, my assistant, will edit this week's video. Last week, I edited the weekly video. We take turns each week. So, one week we are in the office editing the video, and the other week we are filming. However, there are things we have to do together. Like interviews, because one person has to focus on the sound and the other person talks to the child. 🎥🙎🏼‍♀️

This week, I went to the barn and filmed the children petting the animals. It's quite difficult to catch the children laughing with joy. 😉 We even have frogs that you can take a look at and a pig named Paprika who loves to be petted. She's like a dog that can't get enough. 🫢😂

Yesterday, I also filmed a breakfast ride. We cook outdoors in the forest and the kids can make campfire bread. It's really cozy. It's also nice to be able to attend any activity whenever you want, especially when you work in the media field. 😉

In one of the pictures in the gallery, you can see how we edit videos. We use the app Final Cut (which I highly recommend). For those who are wondering, we film with the Canon EOS R6. The quality is really great! 👍🏻

Sometimes, I also oversee the technical aspects. In the evening, the children always have a time for worship and listening to a devotional. When singing, someone has to click through the slides. 💻 Lights are turned on and off, and the screen has to be raised and lowered.

Last week, we had a visit from some younger children from the city who also participated in some activities here. I was amazed when I saw the big, long American school bus driving up the hill. 🫢 It's not like I haven't seen hundreds of them before, but it just reminds me of American movies. 😄

See you soon! 🙃

Yesterday I also filmed a breakfast ride. It is cooked outside in the forest and the kids can make doughboys. It already has something cozy. It also makes you happy that you work in media. You can go to any activity whenever you want. ;)
