Barcelona

20 minutes away from Barcelona, we find a place for 4 nights. There is not much going on in the area and we enjoy the tranquility once again. After a short walk of 10 minutes, we are already at the beach. Rocky is excited as if he hasn't been to the beach in weeks. In Valencia, there wasn't much beach time due to the bad weather. I wonder what the dog will do when we're back home?!... After important household tasks like cleaning and laundry are quickly done, we want to visit the Gaudi park. Thank goodness we find a parking garage nearby because the park is located on a mountain from which you can overlook Barcelona and the sea. Unfortunately, when we arrive, we realize that we are not allowed to enter with our dog. The description on the internet turns out to be more of a disappointment because it was described that there is a part of the park that you can explore with a dog. However, this part is just a normal and unspectacular forest in the mountains, which was not obvious to us. After a nice walk around part of the Gaudi park, we head back home. The next day, in the afternoon, we realize that our water pump is not working properly anymore and apparently no power is reaching it. We are already resigned to the fact that we have to postpone our visit to the city center and focus on fixing the water faucet problem first. After several attempts and shaking the pump, the entire solar system shuts down - it's practically a catastrophe because there's no light and no water anymore. Somehow, it seems that fuses have become our thing... Probably due to the vibrations during the drive, the battery fuse has become loose. We tighten the fuse back in and everything is working again. So the next day, we go to the city center as planned. Once we arrive there, we are faced with another sensory overload. It's as if there is no pandemic anymore and life has returned to normal. We stroll for several hours through the most famous squares such as La Rambla, the old town, Playa Espana, the market hall, and the Sagrada Familia. After about 4 hours of parking in the city center, we have spent nearly 20 euros.

Our next stop will be the last one in Spain, as we probably won't be traveling to Spain anymore after getting vaccinated.
