A long day is ahead of us, our destination is the Bicaz Gorge and then we will continue driving north.
The Bicaz Gorge (Cheile Bicazului) is one of the spectacular crossings of the Carpathian Mountains. The small Bicaz River has carved a gorge in the limestone cliffs over a distance of about 5 km. The steep rock walls rise up to 300 m directly next to the road.
Like many hotspots for tourists, it is also quite crowded here. The weather is partially cloudy and we also get a little wet. After traffic and detour, we arrive in Vatra Dornei.
Originally, the Transrarau was also planned for today, but unfortunately, we missed it.
Doesn't matter!
Enjoying a beer and a meat platter. Good night.
