Hello everyone,
We had to get up at 7 am today (and no, we no longer remember what it's like to get up and go to work 🤦🏽♀️). Everything was planned, wake up at 7, breakfast at 7:30, leave at 8. Well, the party people here in Vietnam are always a bit late and served us breakfast (yogurt with fruits, not too complicated) at 07:53. Thanks for nothing - at 07:55 our tour guide was waiting for us to pick us up. Of course, we had to pack everything and take it with us 🤦🏽♀️ Then we were picked up on a scooter, and Lara in the back almost died three times with that guy. So what - no rules is also a rule 🤷🏽♀️
Then we stood in the middle of nowhere for another 30 minutes, waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. We could have finished breakfast easily - thanks for nothing here too 🙋🏼♀️.
Well, at 9 am we started cycling through Hoi An to a café where local people meet in the morning to sip on a cup for an hour.
But we were able to ask so many questions. That was nice.
There were also two English women, 34 and 41 years old. One was a bit heavier - but not fat. The Asians, mind you, are all slim - and specially target the heavier ones. The one quickly realized this when our tour guide said to her, "maybe you should eat less meat - then you will be in good shape like Lara". Honestly, thanks for the compliment - but it was really embarrassing for us...she was also a vegetarian 🤦🏽♀️😂
especially because we are currently anything but in good shape🙄 well, then she kept commenting on her figure and we eventually rode the bikes off-road through rice fields, etc... Eventually, we ended up in a fishing village. There was a lady who created jewelry out of leaves in 1 minute, something that would have taken us a whole day individually. The lady was deaf and mute due to an illness. But so cute and incredibly talented. Each of us got a crown, a necklace, and a grasshopper made of leaves as a ring (photos).
After that, we had to sit in a weird round boat with a local who took us for a ride on the river. We could catch crabs, see snakes and other disgusting animals 😂 in the end, Lara had to paddle, while Jasna was responsible for fishing. A true professional angler now🤙🏽🤙🏽 Then we got lunch there - there was everything from shrimp to spring rolls and rice. And sooo delicious once again 🙄 we were back at the hotel at 1:30 and went straight to the beach🥰🥰🥰🥰 what a life. Suddenly, a guy ran past us, working on his figure 😂😂😂 and he really ran haha
In the evening, we rented scooters (omg these things are really fast here 🤭 speedy) and went to the city. We met up with Flo for dinner, who brought along two English people.
We were back around 10:30 and now we're sitting by the pool, with beer and 25 degrees, enjoying life to the fullest.
Tomorrow is all about the beach 🏝
